When I first stumbled upon Inspire Me Today, I immediately fell in love with the idea.
A new Luminary is featured each day, but the topic is the same:
“If you had only 500 words of wisdom to leave to humanity, what have you learned in life that you’d want to share with others? What matters and what doesn’t?”
Wow. A big question! I felt inspired by the challenge, and tackled it from this perspective:
“If I only 500 words of wisdom to leave my daughter, what would they be?”
Read the 500 words of wisdom I want to share with the world (and my daughter) here.

I worked for a women, who, when I would start to get stressed, or upset, or overwhelmed about something, would say, “Is this the mountain you want to die on?” That one question has helped me keep things in perspective since then.
What an interesting way to phrase it, I’ve never heard that one before! Thanks so much for sharing!
My advice to my children would be: “Stand up straight, stand up for yourselves and be kind always.”
That is a tough question. I would tell them to remember that they are a child of God and that they are precious.
Wow, that is indeed a challenge, one of my favorites is “You only get this one life…” meaning go for it!
Love Yahweh and folllow Him always – everything else will work out.
Sometimes when you feel overwhelmed and get stressed ask yourself, “will this matter in 5 years?” It makes you think what’s important in the long run.
You cannot control someone or someone’s actions only your re-action to them.
Oh tough question – I actually really love the wisdom from the latest Cinderella movie – Have courage and be kind.
“This too shall pass” is what I share with others. On the very best of days, take it all in and remember that, this too shall pass. On the very worst days, understand that, this too shall pass.
